Live thread: Wisconsin Supreme Court election - Prosser vs Kloppenburg

This election is important nationally too. If Kloppenburg is elected the Wisconsin mandate by the electorate in 2010 in this state will be negated by the WI Supreme Court and the unions will have won.

I live in a hardcore conservative area and discovered today that my Prosser yardsign was mutilated and thrown into one of my plantings.

Pray for Wisconsin and for Prosser's election!

Waukesha now reporting 119/198 precincts. No change in votes.

The problem is voter fraud.

I seriously doubt my inane comments will alter this thread. I shall stop doing it for the sake of clarity. :^)

Waukesha *County* has a population of 383,000. Only 85,000 votes in. So, unless it is just for the city, the votes aren’t in.

Milwaukee has a population of 953,328, at this rate 203,000 will vote - that's 21%. Based on Waukesha's population of 380,629, you'd expect turnout of about 80,000, and they're showing a little more then that in. The precinct reporting figures have to be wrong.

Thanks for putting forward reasonable analysis and not wild speculation.

Someone else just posted that the vote totals in Waukesha suggest that nearly all precincts there are in, even though this is not reflected in the number of precincts reporting.

If so, then my little back-of-the-envelope is worthless cuz the data may not be broken out correctly.

Still, if the bias is not too great, then I remain at least cautiously optimistic for Prosser. A lot obviously depends on having that 52/198 Waukesha number right. My extrapolation puts a lot of weight on that one figure.

What was the turnout like?

I don't know (I'm not in Wisconsin). I'm just looking at Prosser currently losing, and I know from long experience that socialists, union thugs, etc. are far more motivated than us normal folks. I can't tell you how many conservatives I talk to who have NO idea what's going on politically in the country and don't really care.

I would love to move to Texas....we have two sets of aging parents that we must care for before that can happen.

Unfortunately, by the time I can escape, my house will probably be worthless and Milwaukee Co. will resemble what Detroit looks like right about now.

I’m glad Texas is open. It’s only a matter of time before Tennessee needs to save your ass again.

Geez, looks Krappenburg is pulling it off down the stretch......All I can say is if Wisconsin puts her in, they get what they deserve. After she helps kill the bill, I’d like see Walker turn around raise taxes across the board. All he’s got to say is “Wisconsin, I tried to make a dent in our financial problems. You rejected it. So I’m left with only the alternative of raising taxes to fix our deficit and to help pay for these pensions and health plans”

The maybe the people in that state will wake up.
