This election is important nationally too. If Kloppenburg is elected the Wisconsin mandate by the electorate in 2010 in this state will be negated by the WI Supreme Court and the unions will have won.
I live in a hardcore conservative area and discovered today that my Prosser yardsign was mutilated and thrown into one of my plantings.
Pray for Wisconsin and for Prosser's election!
Yep....Feingold won Dane 70-30 in 2010 and lost....
Here are the Brown County returns (Green Bay area): http://www.co.brown.wi.us/i_brown/d/county_clerk/2011aprel45.htm
Looks like this is Prosser country with the early returns. I was number 171, and I voted a little after 8 this morning. That’s high for our area, I think. My husband voted after 4 and the line was long.
I was doing the same thing. Columbia County is a little discouraging at this point, but who knows which precincts are still out.
ON WISCONSIN!
Go Prosser! Go conservatives!
3% reporting, not looking good at all thus far.
Does anyone know of a way to see which areas have reported versus those that haven’t? I’m hoping this is Madison coming in and things will improve.
no returns from waukesha, or ozaukee cty yet...cross plains, suburb of madistan first to report so kloppenberg takes early lead
What is your source, please?
2004 Wisconsin Presidential Results
This is useful because it was a 50-50 race and the link has percentages by county. So you can compare how a 50-50 race went by county in Wisconsin. You can also look at turnout, as in what percent of the 2004 turnout is being seen in each county.
It looks like the only counties that are going for (D) so far are Columbia, Dane and Douglas.
I know it’s still early.
The Union Thugs poured so much money in this race that there is no way we can win this. Milwaukee isn’t reporting yet they will be busing people to the polls with a grab bag of booze and cigarettes.
Prayers up.
Prosser 33,054 48%, Kloppenburg 35,943 52%
Looking better...
He running slightly ahead of Walker in Brown and Jefferson Countries....
Why do you say things not good? If Prosser is holding 36 percent in Dane, he can win handily.
4% and tightening. Better, but still bad.
I’m not worried yet - (from Washington County, currently live in Madison Burb)
Numbers look good - watch, Jefferson, Rock, Racine, Kenosha.
Washington, Waukesha, Ozaukee will come out hammering soon.
Milwaukee needs to be stable.
51/49 now for kloppenberg with 4%......milwaukee cty starting to come in. Turnout will be key....Waukesha cty (rep) ran out of ballots in one city (so more than 50% turnout)...Milwaukee Cty expecting only 20-25% turnout
Walker is not running.
i only have WPR radio station I'm about to pull my last hair out on them
Around 7:00 p.m., my wife and I voted in Eau Claire County (Western WI) that trends 55-45 Democrat. The old ladies working the registration table had no electronic ballots left, and we both observed that there were few men voting.
Big $55 million school referendum (that supposedly is going to crash and burn) is drawing the voters out here, so I have no clue what the outcome will be.
I took a trip across the state recently (in March), and there were HUGE signs for Prosser all across the open countryside. I saw NONE for Kloppenberg. I have a feeling that some pockets will be lib, but from what I’m seeing, they should be in the minority. That ‘lie ad’ really hurt Kloppenberg, as did her thoughts that she wasn’t tough on criminals. Every time I saw that, I cringed, worried for the state and the country, if people like that take over.
Prayers for our state and our country!
Prosser 44,267 49%, Kloppenburg 45,379 51%
Dude - calm down. It’s not looking like anything yet. The first areas to report were from Dane Co.
Only a little more than 1100 votes separating them.
The unions were outspent. Dont give up.Things will turn when GOP areas report.
50/50 with 6%.........looking better
Tied!!
Supreme Court REPORTING 6%
Joanne Kloppenburg 55,415
50%
David Prosser (inc) 55,300
50%
bttt
The unions were outspent. Dont give up.Things will turn when GOP areas report.
They are about event right now - so is Dane County a more liberal area?
Looks like we got another nail biter election here at FreeRepublic. Good thing I remembered to get the beer.
REPORTING 6%
Joanne Kloppenburg
55,415
50%

Joanne Kloppenburg 55,415

even (not “event”)
Now 50-50: Prosser 55,300; Kloppenburg 55,415. 6% of precincts reporting.
115 vote difference at the moment.
Dane cty and Milwaukee cty are blue, the rest of the state is mostly red....Dane and Milwaukee have biggest populations though,....My son said he thought UW student turnout was low...he is is Madison at UW
Most excellent. Thank you.
Yes. It’s where Madistan is located.
You could say that - it's Madistan.
Dane County is Madison. Yes, heavily liberal. If they’ve mostly reported, then Prosser should be OK
check the CNN 2010 ten map he is overperforming some places, under performing in others.
Seems they’re nearly all that way lately. Or, maybe it’s just that the stakes are so high.
Columbia scares me though because they have many precincts in. Bush won it in 04. Johnson won it too, though barely in a state he won by 5. Being down 10 right now is a little scary.
Superior, WI. NW corner of the state
Prosser has over a 400 vote lead now!
Prosser 58,346 50%, Kloppenburg 57,903 50%
Even better, we are now ahead!
He’s up by 400 now. Giddyap, quite a horse race in the early going.
My prayer was almost word for word as yours! Any update?
