Mayor Voepel is a Tea Party Independent (former republican)
I like this guy!
Smoking bans are the tip of the iceberg - then comes food bans and carbon emissions, etc.
'first they came for the smokers.......'

Wow, finally a politician with guts going against the anti-smoking nazis. We need many more men & women of courage like this.
Everyone should remember the REAL Nazis were also anti-smoking...

Kudos to this Mayor!!! I just wish there were more like him willing to tell the PCers to stuff it where the Sun don’t shine!

Smoking bans are the template from which every forelock tugging “regulation” follows, imo.

>>restaurants have the freedom to pick or choose having patio smoking
Here in MA, most towns have outlawed puffin’ on the patio, in addition to the indoor ban.
And now, the MassHospAss says they will test all employees for nicotine, even if said individual abstains at works and indulges off site on his own alleged time.
“Smokers are not a protected class” said the head of the MassCommagaintDiscrimination when asked about this new rule.
Land of the WHAT?? you were saying.
