A pro-life candidate with a ministerial background will play well in South Carolina to the point of overlooking the lack of other conservative principals. If the Huckster does decide to run, and with the SC primary being early in the season, he could emerge as a front runner.

As for Bachmann and Palin's chances in SC, Nicky Haley's shaky start in the governor's office may sour the SC electorate on these two real conservatives. I know it is early in Haley's term, but so far, IMHO, she has not shown she is up to the task.
