I have this Palestinian friend, now American citizen. He'd come out do some hunting with us, good respectable guy too. I once asked him what was the problem over there? Ole Ramses was Orthodox but said he had Muslim & Christian relatives and everybody got along fine. He said the problem was more economic like in Northern Ireland. All the Palestinians work in Israel and every time a bomb goes off; border shuts down; financial impact. Radicals stir it all up, blame the Jews, all the kids grow up throwing rocks at the troops providing security. He didn't want his kids growing up being rock throwers; so he got with American relatives in Detroit and flew over. Worked as a slave on a fishing boat here in Alaska for several years to get his citizenship started. Hard working, respectable, Orthodox Christian guy. I have met some of his relatives from Calgary & Detroit and they are good people too.

I guess there's a whole lot more to it than just religion that goes over most of our heads.

I think Palestinians, just like everybody else, is susceptible to propaganda and they are submerged in it with no opposing viewpoint from the time they’re born.

There’s nothing more useful for a dictator and thugocracy than a scapegoat to pin it all on, and the Jews make a wonderful scapegoat for Hamas.
