VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES PROPOSES REGS ON HOMOSEXUAL ADOPTION -- COMMENTS DUE TODAY, APRIL 1, 2011
Please forward to your own lists.
We were informed today that the Virginia Department of Social Services has proposed regulations to require state licensed adoption agencies, including private church-run adoption agencies, to not refuse to process adoption of children based on sexual orientation. If these regs are adopted, even private, church-run agencies would be required to process adoption applications by same-sex couples.
Here is an excerpt from the regulation found at http://legis.state.va.us/codecomm/register/vol27/iss11/v27i11.pdf , Part IV, Program Statement, 22VAC40-131-170.
B. The licensee shall prohibit acts of discrimination based on race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability, or family status to: 1. Delay or deny a childs placement; or 2. Deny an individual the opportunity to apply to become a foster or adoptive parent.

I am asking the Department of Social Services for: 1. Their legal authority to require agencies to accept applicants whose sexual orientation behavior may include grounds for divorce from the bond of matrimony (VA Code § 20-91); 2. Their legal authority to add "sexual orientation" to the Commonwealths discrimination statutes; 3. Their legal authority to compel compliance by adoption agencies, whether or not faith-based, to process applicants whose behavior is rejected as immoral by the Old and New Testaments; 4. Proof that this new policy complies with Virginia Supreme Court decisions; 5. Peer review social science and other literature and research including longitudinal or long term research explaining why children should be placed for adoption by persons regardless of their sexual orientation. 6. Economic impact on state revenues should faith-based adoption agencies suspend their adoption programs because of policies they consider immoral, unethical or harmful to the development and welfare of children.

My opinion isn’t worth a quarter, but it is my opinion that adopting kids to Homosexuals is child abuse.
How can two sick mentally ill people properly raise a child?
I think we’re going to find out in the near future the amazing coincidence of people who were “born that way”
were somehow amazingly more likely to be adopted by homo couples,
just like it’s so amazingly coincidental that those who are “born that way” tend to be sexually abused as children.
Let the queers have only girls, and the lesbos only boys. If they complain, it will out their true agenda.
Child abuse is right. Children need A FATHER AND A MOTHER. Anything else is not normal, it’s political correctness.
Isn’t this what a Republican governor is supposed to prevent?
Apparently these were just in the proposed stage (proposed, I believe by Kaine), and were up for public comment prior to review by the Governor. Regulations are a long drawn out process and can sometimes take a few years.
