Considering the fact that the volcano has erupted something like 10 times since January, I don't think it matters.

Considering the fact that the volcano has erupted something like 10 times since January, I don't think it matters.But after 52 years of quiet. More likely it was the other way around - the volcano eruption was a precursor to the earthquake.

Those eruptions over the past 2 months may have been an early warning of the earthquake to come.
The earth’s crust seems to be in unusual upheaval the past few years. It’s always active, but moreso than normal?
