I really didn’t care what the color of ones skin was when I was in the service...

If you performed and I knew you had my back, as I had theirs, without any prejudice or malace...Everything worked out just fine...

I still believe that is prevalent today in all branches of our armed forces...

This is a busy body BS story designed to illicite just the kind of response we are seeing here so far...

And I’m hip to the idea...Thos of us who have served know the score...We just don’t enjoy seeing people who do not have a clue (or who have never served this country), speculate on something that doesn’t matter a hill of beans in the long run...

My son is a Navy Captain and is retiring this year.

He was going to stay in for 30 years but since the one has been President, he's bailing out.

Some of the crap that is now going on the the Military, makes me glad that I'm as old as I am, because if I were in today, I don't trust my self and what I might do.

It used to be promotion was based on an Officers ORB (Read: Officers record brief) This document covered all the bases, assignments, education, command positions, combat tours, etc, etc. Now it looks like all one needs is the Official Photo! I’m glad I’m retired too Brother.

My guess is that a conservative white man can reach about O-3 before he is tagged out of the service for being white and conservative. Maybe in a war time they can squeak up to O-5 and make the LTC battalion level commander, but other than that a white man must become a “white male PC worshipper”, thank you respectable conservatives.

It's a diversity group, of course they found too little diversity. That's what they were supposed to find. Just as environmental groups find too few environmental regulations and labor unions find too few bennies for their members etc.

The grievance industry has run amuck in this country and only older people who can remember a time when there were very few NGOs wagging the dog can keep this in perspective. Remember, whatever the cause de jour is, it will be the end of life as we know it.

This is the same Bull-Shiite that's been forced on industry for decades, and look where it's gotten us. This diversity for diversity's sake needs to end. The one thing about the military was it was as close to a meritocracy as you could get. Up until progressivism really took hold in the 60s our military was unmatched.

I notice they NEVER address what the "needed cultural change" is... Kinda like that "fundamental transformation" Hussein was always on about. Just ONCE I'd love to see some talking head ask them to EXPLAIN what this is.
