WASHINGTON -- Radical Islam poses a threat to the United States as a whole, but is particularly dangerous to American Muslims who are targeted by terror groups, the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee said Sunday in defending upcoming hearings on radical Islam.

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., is facing a backlash, including Sunday protests in New York, over his decision to hold hearings on the threat of Islamic radicalization. King said he's surprised the American-Muslim community is not embracing his hearings because they are the ones most victimized when radical elements infiltrate their communities.

Islam is not a threat, and Muslims reserve the right to kill anyone who says otherwise.

Actually from what I've heard, I think King should cancel the hearings also. Supposedly Daniel Pipes and/or Robert Spencer have been dis-invited.

Good. You can send Rep. King some encouragement at Pete.King@mail.house.gov

I regularly send him articles on radical Islam and anything else I can find to help his committee.

Do you have any more info about this you can share? These guys are two of the leading authorities on the subject.

GoogleNews King hearings Spencer Pipes locates many articles about this. National Review reports (excerpted):
Better cooperation, King reasons, will be encouraged if the hearings turn down the volume and clear the air. For now, Walid Phares, a Beirut-born professor, and Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, an Arizona physician and military veteran, are slated to appear. Rep. Keith Ellison (D., Minn.), a Muslim, will also participate.

King’s strategy, however, leaves well-known experts on Islamic terrorism outside of the Muslim community — such as Steve Emerson, Robert Spencer, and Daniel Pipes — watching via C-SPAN.

“I don’t want to bring in the same faces,” King explains. “Nine years after September 11, people’s eyes glaze over if they keep seeing the same people. If we have subsequent hearings, and we have more questions, we can bring in others.”

What a schmuck King is. He is second only to Chuck (the Schmuck) Schumer in fighting for face time on TV. King may occasionally appear to be on our side, but almost just as often he reveals himself as a member of the political establishment. Sure. Why would we want to hear from recognized scholars? Everybody should have their chance on the stage, especially spokesmen for taqqiya groups.

Maybe because they are all radicals.

Wonder if King will ask what radicalized Muslims and how they plan on taking over the world without a world class military anything.

Finally, someone has the courage to say it.

Will he introduce legislation to deport all death cult members?

It is even worse than that.

Now, this WUSS have caved some more

SEE: King caves again: Walid Phares not testifying at his hearings on Muslim "radicalization" after complaints from Hamas-linked CAIR

Hamas-linked CAIR complained, and King caved the next day

WHY BOTHER!!!
