PS Thanks for including the medical term fasciotomy. Hopefully the doctors know of this method as a possible solution as I had suggested it without knowing the medical term.
It worked for the person described by the poster I was responding to, and the person he was referencing did it himself. (I don't recommend that, but again it's possible that Jim would have done it--or had a doctor do it--if he knew about it and it was a viable solution.)
