I’m comforted by the knowledge that, from his hospital bed, and facing an unknowable future, Jim takes the time and energy to tap out these messages to us sharing his medical updates. That tells me that Jim knows there are thousands of people who, though he will probably never meet most of them, care deeply about how he’s doing and are checking into this thread looking for current information about his well being. Jim knows that thousands of people, strangers to each other, are joined in prayer for his health and healing because his creation and stewardship of freerepublic has added positive value to their lives. That he sends us these messages tells me he knows this, and I pray he is comforted and lifted up by that certainty, and by our prayers.

Jim, I did check, and it was not honey but Karo Syrup compresses we used on an elderly lady with a leg ulcer. We did get it closed in the 2 weeks that she visited here in FL with her sister. (I am told the Karo because of cooking is not going to activate response to allergies...if you have them... to things in raw honey)
She went back to Canada and has lived for many years...98 now!

Sounds to me your wound care specialist knows what she is talking about — she seems to be aware of alternative treatments that actually work and your ulcer can be healed. Great news that you can go to her clinic.

Jim, the latest update is brighter and more hopeful and thank God for that. Praying that the infection hasn’t spread to the bone, and there’s some way the ulcer can be healed.

It sounds promisng Jim.I’m impressed that the wound specialist uses honey since it;’s long been known as a healing treatment in homeopathic medicine.Unfortunately many medical Doctor’s overlook the old treatments in favor of what the drug companies offer.Never know the honey could help with the ulceration too.
