I could be wrong, but I think at one point it was referred to as HCUA, but was changed to HUAC (probably rolled off the toungue easier for journalists...)
But I could be mistaken.

Plus, they got the name of the committee wrong. HUAC, not HCUA. Sorry. It was officially the House Committee on Un-American Activities: HCUA. HUAC was the popularized version.
