You are quite welcome. I don’t see how your remarks could be objectionable as helping the democrats, so I figured I would ask.

Have a great day.

"Has the responsibility for energy issues been assigned elsewhere?"

What energy issues? Obomba has them all covered.

There is not a single democrat politician that is for anything good like abolishing a government agency or deporting illegals. All democrat politicians are marxists/socialists.

Those that say ridiculous things like that there is no difference between the parties are are saying then that all Republicans are marxists. All this does is suppress conservative voter turnout and voting for Republicans . And this is what helped democrats achieve a super majority in Congress which enabled democrats to turn over 1/5 of the U.S. economy , healthcare , over to the government.

Why don't you people get it that in a 2 party system if you don't support 1 party then you help the other. And even worse if you parrot liberal media lies like “there is no difference between the parties” you suppress votes for Republicans and so help to get democrats/socialists elected and so you help advance socialism.

Is that so hard to understand or are you all democrats? I suspect the latter.

“PLEASE NOTE: The House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming was created to explore American clean energy solutions that end our reliance on foreign oil and reduce carbon pollution.

The Select Committee was active during the 110th and 111th Congresses. This is an archived version of the website, to ensure that the public has ongoing access to the Select Committee record. This website, including external links, will not be updated after Jan. 3rd, 2010.”

Good to see they are leaving the data up. Issa may find it useful.

Democrat_media,

LOL !! What a fool you are making yourself out to be my FRiend. You view INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVES as the enemy of the GOP.. which we most definately are.. but it is not because we left the party (Did you see my post on the Republican oath?) but rather the party has left US ! I suggest you work WITH us or go join the DEMS yourself because you are helping the LIBERALS and you don’t even realize you are doing so by attacking INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVES.. .there are a LOT of us on FR and across America.... wake up my FRiend and get off the Republican “dingy boat” and get on the BIG CONSERVATIVE INDEPENDENT boat.. you can join now or later.. your choice !

Since the energy issues are handled well elsewhere, then I can see why this committee was eliminated in this Congress. If the position of the GOP is that there is definitely no climate change, then why would we need a committee about it?

Oh, there is always going to be climate changed.
It’s just that human activity has no measureable effect on it.

At the same time, think of all the energy-related issues that have been developed and funded by government enterprise, not private enterprise. The huge hydroelectric dams like the Hoover - of the interstate highway system - were all funded by the Feds.

Sometimes the projects are simply not attractive to private capital, which sees its short-term money-making opportunities elsewhere.

Has the responsibility for energy issues been assigned elsewhere?

I suggest assignment to the Private Sector and get the Washington cleptocrats out of it altogether.

You are merely a propagandist.

ThPoliticians represent the people of their districts/states. The fact that we have a party-based system does not change that.

Supporting the actions of the representatives without idolizing the GOP party itself does not give aid and comfort to the political enemy. For you to spout such drivel is beyond mindless, IMO.

Further, the argument that “we aren’t as bad as the other guy” is crap. That’s a schoolyard level of logic. It’s something intelligent conservatives scrape off their shoes.

Finally, I am a conservative. I happen to be registered to vote as a republican, but I am a conservative first and foremost. Republican-party-first individuals such as yourself have been feeding us a steady diet of moderate-to-liberal crap-sandwich candidates while screaming that we HAVE to support them because they are not democrats. That BS is over.

You can either start giving me reasons to be FOR individual GOP politicians and actions, or you can kiss off. Your tribalist GOP baloney doesn’t cut it any more.

Lastly, you accuse me of espousing the idea that there are no differences between the two parties. Bull. That’s a strawman approach to the argument, and is little better than the “but we’re not dems” argument discussed above.

If your post to me is the best argument you can muster, don’t bother responding further. I do not wish to spend any more time scraping crap off my rhetorical shoes.

The democrat party is the threat.

The democrat party and the media are one.

democrats are bringing in millions of illegals that will vote democrat as they did in California and Nevada.

So the democrat party has to be destroyed or at least marginalized.

What about that is false? I have more points but no time.

“Sometimes the projects are simply not attractive to private capital, which sees its short-term money-making opportunities elsewhere.”

You raise a good point. I suppose the answer is that we have too many departments and committees. Let’s streamline. If there’s a big energy project that’s worth doing, that should be the responsiblity of the DOE.

The DOE, nor any other Federal entity, shouldn’t be telling me I can’t use incandescent bulbs.

democrat Congresses created almost all government agencies, laws against private businesses, pro union laws.

From your comments in post #39:
"That committe was only about Global Governance...The Global Warming Hype is nothing but a Global Scam out of the UN and the IPCC..."
Yes. But as your painfully aware, the blessings of Hansen, Chu, Jackson, Holdren, Obama, and a host of other clowns that either are outright radical socialist or damn close to it.
What they could do with the moneys saved by dumping this committee is set up a very sharp honest shirt string budget committee that makes a careful watch on what NASA's Hansen does in the future. And threaten to defund that group the next time they are shown to fudge data in some cases just make crap up to fit their global warming curves. Just a thought.
