But this is still a big issue, since the rest of the industrialized world is paying a lot of attention to these issues.

To paraphrase Obama, "doing what the rest of the world is doing is not leadership." China is part of the industrialized world, and they don't buy into the global warming claptrap. Global warming, for those intellectually honest enough to admit it, has been effectively debunked in the past 12 months.

I'm not suggesting we shouldn't conserve resources and try to be good stewards of our planet. But let's not create some feel-good commitee in Congress be cause, some socialist countries in Europe are doing so.

Democrats appreciate all you do for their cult of socialism/Marxism which is their religion.

I saw the Smithsonian in your list.

Harsh!

It reminded me of the time I said to the wife, looking at the city walls in York:

“Why are the roads through York so ruddy narrow? You don’t need ALL the Bar Wall; blow some of it up, widen the roads.”

She took umbrage at the desecration of such a historical feature, so I said “look, if you really really really want to waste your time looking at very old brick walls that all look the same, you can always go to Canterbury and I bet you won’t be able to tell the difference.”

I slept on the sofa that night.

You have an advantage over us Brits: we have an overblown and overdeveloped sentimental attachment to silly things like old brick walls.

Sheeperals “cling to” AGW because it gives them a sense of self worth to “care about the erf”,
and a sense of moral superiority over those who don’t.

"Woo Hoo....Oath of allegiance to Country and God....Reading the Constitution....Closing a useless committee....

Way to Go Repubs....

Lets keep the pace up and close one a day”

Yes and Republicans will introduce a bill to Repeal all of the government socialist healthcare law that democrats passed. This has hardly EVER been done IF ever in Congress ,repeal a law. Fact is most laws , the hundreds of thousands of pages of laws, need to be repealed as 99% of laws increase government size and power, reduce freedom, and cripple private businesses.

I understand simple logic something you don’t: In a 2 party system (dems and Repubs) if you tear one down(Repubs) then the other one (democrats/socialism) rises.

Either you are too dumb to understand that or you are a democrat.

You are the one who does not get it my FRiend.. I support a STRONG 2-party system.. but I see the “parties” as LIBERALS vs CONSERVATIVES not “Repukes” vs “Demons” which are both controlled by the same money pit... The CONSERVATIVES have been unsuccessful in purging the Republican party of RINOs and so it is time for the INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVES to take control of our COUNTRY ! No thanks to the GOP....

‘energy issues assigned elsewhere?’

Why? Until recently, we didn’t have a dept of energy. The free market will supply all the energy we need ,,,even without government! All government does is impede it, and make it more expensive.

Why is not trusting the GOP party establishment supposedly a furtherance of socialism?

The action taken was applauded. The credit was not given to the “party”. Why do you have a problem with that, Mr. Democrat_media?

I recommend that Speaker Boehner keep this committee intact. However, it shall only contain only ONE member, Nancy Pelosi. All meetings will be conducted on a stool in the corner and the member must face the wall wearing a dunce cap.

This is a mistake.

The Committee should have met, held hearings, and found officially that Anthropogenic Global Warming is a crooked myth. Upon referral of the matter to Mr. Issa for possible prosecution of the principal actors, THEN close it down.
