I think that the most effective way to reach the end we want, drastic reduction of illegals in this country, the best way is to put pressure on employrers to make sure illegals are not hired and landlords to make sure that illegals are not housed. This can be done with state and local laws.
I believe that there must be grass roots campaigns in every single state acriss the nation to target everything about illegal aliens and illegal immigration from eliminating sanctuiary cities, anchor babies, denying benefits meant for legitimate US citizens to illegals, stiff and heavy fines and possible imprisonment for hiring illegals over US citizens, and most importantly border security. The Arizona law should be the model in as many states as possible. Let the feds fight every single state or else do the job it is supposed to do in the first place.
