Two days ago Reid said he was going to force the GOP to meet on Christmas Day to pass this bill if necessary. Now he’s dropping it. If there were any justice the GOP would force the Dems to convene on Christmas Day to vote on this bill.

“I’m not sure I believe this. It will be back in different form next week...”

Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Reid must have something up his sleeve.

This is the bill that WAS going to begin the funding of Obamacare with 1Billion. in other words the new Repub House would not be able to touch that in their defunding of Ocare next year (at least not until October).

The Pres has lost and Reid has lost. any chance do you think that the Senate will elect a new Dem leader — or is Reid entrenched?

Great isn’t it? ONE Page. Wow imagine that...

Bears repeating:

“The top Senate Republican has offered a one-page bill to prevent a government shutdown on Saturday as an alternative to a 1,924-page catchall spending measure offered by Democrats.”

Here in Wisconsin, something odd happened. (we kicked out the dems, we’re redder than red now in all branches) Our lame duck Democratic senate majority leader (our harry reid) was voted out of office. The dems in a last ditch effort were voting for sweetheart union contract deal, and our ‘harry reid’ voted with the republicans. WE ALL FELL ON OUR FACE! WHAT?

So, I want you all to keep in your mind, not only New Jersey, keep your eye on Wisconsin. We’ve elected real conservatives. We’re going to be a leader in most conservative issues. You’re going to want to keep your eye on Wisconsin. Things here are changing, and it’s going to be BIG!

I want to know why the Republicans would even think of voting for this.

Like kids at an amusement park, they want to try all the rides. I think RINOs like Snowe and Collins perceive themselves and their lives as relevant and important. Snowe gets in the lime light when they court her to vote for some POS legislation and she gets to meet with the big O.

The part about dropping the bill because of some Republicans not voting for it, is pure BS. There aren’t enough Republicans in the Senate to stop anything. I will bet the main reason he is dropping it is because some dems have filed to have the entire thing read on the floor and he doesn’t want to waste time so as to cram more of his left wing disaster onto the American people.

"Leave a mess for the Republicans."

Remember when Clinton left office the mess they made of the White House? It's like chasing a ghetto kid tossing garbage cans behind him.

These people are evil.

I’m not sure I believe this. It will be back in different form next week.

They will slip it through on Christmas eve when they think no bodies watching, then the will sing the Democrats favorite praise song, "Hallelujah, $$$$$$$, Hallelujah, $$$$$, Hallelujah, we are your savior with the bread$$$$ you are looking for.

The following Dem Senators are up for re-election in 2012.

A good number of them could not afford to vote yes on this monstrosity, and I’m sure they let Reid know.

Dianne Feinstein of California
Tom Carper of Delaware
Bill Nelson of Florida
Daniel Akaka of Hawaii
Ben Cardin of Maryland
Debbie Stabenow of Michigan
Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota
Claire McCaskill of Missouri
Jon Tester of Montana
Ben Nelson of Nebraska
Bob Menendez of New Jersey
Jeff Bingaman of New Mexico
Kirsten Gillibrand of New York
Kent Conrad of North Dakota
Sherrod Brown of Ohio
Bob Casey, Jr. of Pennsylvania
Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island
Jim Webb of Virginia
Maria Cantwell of Washington
Joe Manchin of West Virginia
Herb Kohl of Wisconsin

The GOP is playing a brilliant game and I’m curious to see how DADT plays out before the end of the term.

I think there are something like 57 Democrat Senators they can make a quorum (51) any time they like.
