Democrats pulled it, Democrats will put it back when they want. They are just expressing how pi**ed off at Obama they are..

Caught red handed. :) stinker ;)

Great explanation on Hotair that the “lunch break” was over a split Pelosi caucas. Said to be a “deem and pass” effort, the liberal caucas wanted a vote on increasing the death tax, rather than “deem and pass”. Little fire fight there for the Nancy to do her voodoo.

THIS IS THE ONLY STRATEGY THAT STOPS DADT AND DREAM ACT.

Not if Reid is determined to keeo them in session through Jan 5th. Then there is plenty of time for those to get a vote.

Agreed - This is a BIG Deal - and works to our advantage.

Yes - it was a “Rules” vote - but it was a defacto test vote to see if the Tax Bill could pass the House.

The republicans need to keep enough people in the house and senate 24/7 until the new congress is seated to make sure the Dems don’t scheme to hold a one hour notice 2:00am session and pass this bill. Most likely Christmas morning.

No, it can all be filibustered. The GOP moderates have committed to filibuster ANYTHING THAT COMES UP UNTIL THE TAX EXTENSION PASSES AND BECOMES LAW.

I think that is the deal. Tax cuts are extended as long as DADT repeal is passed, along with START and DREAM Act. Rats are holding the country’s economy hostage to their other radicak goals.

No, it’s about amendments on the floor, bypassing the committee process. The key amendment is to INCREASE the estate tax provision in the deal.

The left wing wants that. The GOP should VOTE FOR IT. That change forces it back to the Senate. Then it has to either pass there or have a conference for resolution of differences. The GOP in the Senate will filibuster ANY changes.

It eats the clock.

They always say that. Then they wait until everyone knows they are delaying the vote up to the point they may have come to their senses; then they lower the boom.

Can’t wait to lower the boom on them and it will happen.

Well, then taxes need to rise. If the Dream Act passes, it’s over anyway.

I believe all this is a dance to time the 'win' of the Dream Act. This is the Holy Grail for the rats and they chose to ram this thru at Christmas while no one is really watching, as well as a big F.U. on their way out the door.

If the dummie Pubs help this thru they are in effect exile ing themselves to minority status forever. You have to think many of them want it that way. If you're into it for the goodies, while take on the burden of leadership.

The source of contention was apparently the provision related to the estate tax.
