No, the Bellagio is still open. Steve Wynn opened a new casino next to the Venetian, then another next to that.

How else do you do a $100 pull? (or $1000)
It's getting tough to keep up with all the real estate transactions in Las Vegas over the past 10 years... I believe Steve Wynn sold the Mirage, Bellagio and Treasure Island to MGM several years ago... then took that money, bought the Desert Inn, tore it down and built the Wynn and then the Encore. All 5 hotel/casinos are still there.
Benjies, coins, casino card only no chips

I’ll bet the 100 and down chips would be easy to cash in. Some Casinos downtown let you cash in your chips from the big strip casinos so you can play there. As a matter of fact most casinos cash in other casinos chips as a courtesy to players, esp high rollers. The larger denominations will draw more scrutiny, but this guy won’t have too much problem getting someone to give him say, 10 cents on the dollar. ESP in Vegas.
Don’t think so. Most in Vegas, as in elsewhere, value their junk.
Can you tell by looking at the chip?
Most articles are indicating the chips range in value from $100 to $25,000. No one is saying whether the Bellagio has RFID in the chips or not. Perhaps that was a factor in choosing the Bellagio.
There are strict rules on other Casinos cashing chips for each other. Usually is confined to only sister properties. However, I am sure dancers and hookers will gladly take them.
Anyone hustling a $25K Bellagio chip may as well wear a sign saying they robbed the Bellagio. The Buzzards close to Vegas are going to eat well soon.
You can barely tell unless you hold them up next to a regular chip, but they are usually slightly bigger, unless they changed the technology over the past 2 years (which they may have).
Plus on a busy night in Vegas, guy sits down at a $25 table and plops down some black chips, 4 or 5, no problem. If the guy is careful and patient he will never get caught.
Do scratch-offs pay of millions?
