Not really. Then Sen. Obama wrote the Global Poverty Act of 2007 (S. 2433) which went along with the UN Millennium Development Goals. Not only would it have let the UN take 1.5% of our GDP, but it would have put our pharmaceuticals and small arms (not to mention much more) under the control of the UN.

That was an abortive wet dream that went nowhere. I'm talking about literal over-reach by Obama and the Democrat congress. I think this UN proposal goes further than anything they've accomplished, thus far.
