I have another question - why is the government buying 2010 Cadillac Escalades?

Is a Chevy Tahoe not good enough?

For that matter - why would out government be driving anything that burns so much fuel and is so environmentally “unfriendly” - considering they are still thinking on restricting US?

But who really thinks this will be investigate?

why is the government buying 2010 Cadillac Escalades [for Congressmen and their families]?

Simple. The 2011's weren't out yet.

While I was stationed in the field in North Dakota, we drove old K-cars and Chevy or Dodge (the real old ones) pickups. The Missile crews drove old Suburbans.

I became Chief of Safety and went through over a year of paperwork and groveling to a worthless Transportation Squadron Tech Sergeant to get a old Base Fire Department 4-Wheel Drive suburban transferred from the Re-utilization Office (the place where they auction old stuff off) to my office because we needed 4-Wheel Drive.

SAC Headquarters denied it telling us that once we had it we could then buy a newer one later and they did not want that.

When I asked them what to do if we had to respond to an accident off base they told us to borrow one from the fire department.

About four months later we had a chopper crash and since my office owned the scene I asked for a 4-wheel drive (winter with over three feet of snow) and the FD denied it as they drove all theirs out to the site. We were one of the last people on site as I had to hitch a ride later.

Anyway, I got stationed in DC and in the parking lot were six BRAND NEW 4-Wheel Drive Suburbans, in Virginia!

I was really upset to say the least.

Back in the day government vehicles had no radio, no a/c and no automatic transmission. I guess times have changed.

You can ask the question if you like. The short answer is, it doesn't matter.

His constituency will continue to vote him in because of his race. They will always re-elect a crook, because he's their crook, and they would do the same if given the chance. They laugh about it and say they are all crooks.

Sorry, but that is the reality of the situation.

Here in SC, Alvin Green got 300k votes, and there was a very qualified democrat white candidate whom Alvin Green beat in the primary.

The current administration/justice dept. will never prosecute this.

University of Wisconsin gives Cadillac Escalades to it's department heads or chancellors, not sure which? You see them all over the U-Towns. Wives, children, et.al.

Supposedly it's important they have them for entertaining VIP's.

When I had a company car, I had to report personal mileage each year and declare it as income on my W2. They were never luxury vehicles and any extra you wanted beyond A/C and power steering/auto transmission, you had to pay for yourself.
