Folks like the AP never take this approach when it comes to prayer in schools or the death penalty.

We have to remember that the majority of Americans do not fly at all or only once in a great while.. so this is no big deal to them... polls should ask how many time they have flown in the last 12 months.. I have flown 10 times this year and will be off again in December.. and no one asked me what I thought

I would say up to half of people never fly, and those who do fly out of airports without any of these scanners (yet).

Also there are other polls showing it 60 % the other way...at least that was reported on radio earlier today.

“The latest AP report shows 2/3 Americans support the new TSA scanners.”

Bravo.

I’ll wait for this information to come from a source such as say Rasmussen. I don’t trust AP for anything.

I think the recent spate of complaints and media reports about the patdowns may have actually driven people to accept the scanners. No one wants to be sexually molested by a stranger under cover of govt law so they will accept the scanners to avoid it. Exactly what the TSA intended.

Give them any trouble and besides heavy fines or jail time for not compllying, these guys will come donned in brown shirts and heavy artilleery! Hey sheeple, is this the change you voted for in ‘08? Well this may be what you get!

It remains to be seen whether they will still hold that opinion after they discover copies of the grotesque naked scanner pictures of them on the Internet...

Doesn’t surprise me at all. Almost any issue that comes up I’m in a 20-30% minority.

Pollster John Zogby: "It's clear the majority of Americans are not happy with TSA and the enhanced security measures recently enacted. The airlines should not be happy with 42% of frequent fliers seeking a different mode of transportation due to these enhancements. It seems the airlines and TSA need to come together to find a solution before the American flying public abandons both."

Notice the ratio (2/3) which is surely overstating the case in comparison to the actual percentage. And that’s before calculating size of poll, questions asked, date conducted, etc.

I don’t think anything will change unless/until we can get the airlines to push back against TSA/Congress. If customer decisions effect their bottom line, they will take notice and respond accordingly. (or I could be wrong and they will just lobby for another bailout to make up the difference) Seems when business and goobermint are in cahoots, we lose either way.

I know I am in the minority here. I have been patted down twice, once leaving NAS (single out) and once leaving EZE (all passengers). I was pulled out of line twice in Narita and wanded after being told to get up on a box. It wasn’t a big deal. The pat downs lasted all but 5 to 10 seconds and I was told to move along. My junk wasn’t touched. I am not a homo either. The guy in EZE seemed to be a bit embarressed to have to do it.

It will be the same when an implanted RFID chip (Mark of the Beast) is required for air travel, banking, health insurance, etc.) 70% will be in favor.
