I agree. Why not just...I don’t know, GET OFF FACEBOOK for a start?
Most of my family is on that thing, and I finally got one after years of pestering. What a flipping waste of time, IMO.

Absolutely. Especially given their mother’s situation.
I tried facebook for 6 months or so...I often found myself wondering aloud why I should give a crap about what my facebook friends were up to every 5 min. That, coupled with the privacy issues I gave it up.
