Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch, a leading Republican on the tax-writing Finance Committee, says the GOP will insist on extending all the Bush tax cuts the same way:

A top Republican in the U.S. Senate said on Wednesday that his party would block any Democratic deal on extending Bush-era tax cuts if rates for the middle class and wealthy are not extended together.

“Are you kidding, of course we would,” said Senator Orrin Hatch,

I think quite a few Senators may put their fingers to the wind and change their ways.

They were extremely slow in “getting it.” But what happened on November 2 is pretty hard to ignore. You can spin it and pretend that it was Sarah’s fault we didn’t get more Senators, but these guys know better.

Six years in the Senate is a long time. They can do whatever the hell they want for four years and then start playing to the audience for the last two. But this is starting to look different. If Orrin Hatch has decided to change his ways four years ahead of his next election, then things are looking good.

Because I don’t really think Hatch is a liberal. He just got old and tired and overconfident, and too used to playing the Establishment game with his Establishment pals. He thought that was the winning game. Now he knows different.

Possibly we can keep a few guys like that. We can’t expect to elect nothing but perfect Senators. But Lindsey Graham is another kettle of fish. Guys like him MUST GO when they next come up for re-election. And Juan McCain should have gone. Too bad about that.

Wasn’t Hatch one of the original signers to the “DreamAct” (a “dream of a program” to assure the destruction of Americans of European descent (aka whitey?)

Hatch is one of seven R’s who co-sponsored the excrable “food bill” that will forbid us from growing our own food if we so choose.

Hatch WILL face a primary challenge. Conservatives have flexed their muscles in the state party, knocking off Bennett, and Orrin has a red laser dot on his necktie.

Not defending the goober "chicken-Hatch", but wasn't it the cloture vote? Not sure. His office said he would vote NO on the s510 bill.

He said he voted NO on S510.....trying to make it look like it was an up or down vote....and it was just a procedural “cloture” vote....he was totally spinning and did not make it clear.... I watched some of his constituents go back to their Facebook page and spread the word to people that he had actually voted NO on the bill itself....

He very well may have learned his lesson, and I agree he is no liberal. However, he still needs to be replaced. His history of working with Democrats far over rides his worth to us in the future. Think about it.

He WILL be replaced by a conservative, that is a fact.
