Renee Ellmers Campaign Update: conservative in one of the last open races needs our help

Dear Supporter,

Friday the Board of Elections ‘certified’ I lead Congressman Etheridge by 1489 votes – 93,893 to 92,404. Then Congressman Etheridge ‘officially’ called for a recount – which began this morning.

We have lawyers and observers and volunteers on hand in each County Board of Elections as they begin the next step of the recount in eight (of ten) counties and, hopefully, we’ll have a much clearer picture tonight. I’ll post updates on the campaign website.

I am confident that as long as there is a fair and accurate recount I will hold my lead over Congressman Etheridge and the upset victory we won, together, on election day will stand. As soon as the final vote is official I will be able to hit the ground running representing the people of the Second District.

We have already received over $42,000 in bills for the initial legal work, started the day after the election, and face thousands of dollars more in expenses this week, increasing the financial strain on my campaign.

I am grateful for your support and hope you are able to help me continue to make certain every vote is counted fairly. If you can make a donation to help me pay our campaign’s ongoing expenses as we complete this final phase it would be a blessing.

Best wishes, Renee Ellmers

She is fighting for us to kick out that thug Ethridge who pushed the cameraman who had the "nerve" to ask him a question he didn't like. If you're not tapped out please help us nail this one down.

This election hinges on how many “absentee” ballots are “found” by the Etheridge people. Watch for multiple boxes or bags of previously undiscovered ballots to show up mysteriously.

Why is the NRCC and the RNC NOT covering these costs? Can we ask Steele?

This is becoming routine in elections-recounts during which the ‘rat candidate always finds enough votes to win. Until they get ammesty for illegal immigrants and all those new-found votes, this seems to be what we can expect. The wonder is that there are suicidal Republicans who also support amnesty and non-enforcement. Or maybe its only a wonder to regular citizens who are not privy to the sausage-making and wheeling and dealing regarding their post-Congress careers. D*mn the Republic, there’s money to be made when empires fall.

This drives me crazy. A “recount” should involve counting ballots that have already been counted ... not new ones that magically appear from RAT car trunks.
