Dear Supporter,
The counties have certified I lead Congressman Etheridge by 1489 votes.
And Congressman Etheridge has officially called for a recount.
The current vote is: Renee Ellmers: 93,893 Bob Etheridge: 92,404
Congressman Etheridge gained 150 votes when the provisional ballots were counted and now because I lead by less than 1% -- every ballot will be recounted.
This means we need volunteers, observers and lawyers in each County Board of Elections during each recount. This puts a terrific financial strain on my campaign.
In Congress, Bob Etheridge wont vote to repeal Obama-care. I will.
Bob Etheridge wont vote for the spending cuts we need to create jobs. I will.
Bob Etheridge wont vote to end earmarks. I will.
We have won a major upset victory. But our work is not done.
As I explained in my last update my campaign has spent nearly $75,000 on recount and other efforts through 5:00 pm today. Now, to ensure that all of our attorneys and election board observers can stay in place until the job is completed I have to raise another $150,000.
Congressman Etheridge is a Pelosi Democrat and hes leaving no stone unturned to return to Congress.
Thank you for what you have previously done to help my campaign. Can you make a donation to help me meet general expenses and insure a fair recount?
Best wishes,
Renee Ellmers
PS I cannot find an instance in North Carolina history where a lead like mine has been overturned.
The Democrat is the skunk who pushed the cameraman who "dared" the ask him a question.
Going to recount. Unfortunately that means that Ms. Ellmers loses the election.
I think I might have enough data to predict the winning vote totals....let’s see, first lets calculate the number of ballots that were somehow missed during November 2 reporting....Hhhmmm.. probably need to avoid a recount of the recount so just to be safe...186,317 votes x 1% = 1,863 or more (a few more would be good) margin needed to win undisputed victory....Hhhmmm...1,489 vote deficit now + 1,863 needed to win = 3,352 more votes needed for Congressman Bob...Hhhmmmm...how many precints were there reporting....need to spread these around some.....
