More federal workers' salaries skyrocket past $150,000
USA Today | 11-10-2010 | By Dennis Cauchon, USA TODAY

MY SUMMATION:
Federal workers earning $150,000 or more a year has increased 10x  in the past five years and doubled since President Obama was inaugurated
Already, some Republicans are going to use the lame-duck session that starts Monday to provides alternatives to Obama's plan to give a 1.4% across-the-board pay raise to 2 million plus federal workers.

I read the other day, 10-13% of the people are actually working in the private sector, they/we support the other 87-90% - the city, state, federal workers, prisoners, and the sick, lame and lazy.

If high paying federal jobs doubled since obama was elected, than it is due to political appointments

the federal civil service personnel system could not promote and/or raise pay to SES levels for so many managers so rapidly under normal personel procedures

Let’s stop looking at these skewed figures as porky civil service workers, and instead recognize this rapid bloat as another abuse of the public trust and the govt and institutions of the US by the greedy grabby obamite barbarians

Be sure to look down at the bottom of the link, and click the geographical differentials for places like Washington DC.

The numbers won’t hold.
The governments, local state and federal, borrow money to pay the government workers and other parasites.

We pay the interest........

for example let’s recognize that the flatulent flotus alone is served by a staff of 122 handmaidens

Unreal! I say fire 3/4 of them and reduce the remaining pay to about 80% of civilian counter parts. I know its a pipe dream, but would it not be nice. Just my two cents.

The new Congress ought to put an immediate freeze on Government hiring. Stop the lunacy of making Government bigger. Better yet, reduce the size of Government to 2008 or 2009 levels.

Get rid of them and/or cut those salaries big time.

When big gubamint is the largest employer and unions rule a majority of the workers, what do you expect?

And the 150K doesn’t include the incredibly generous benefit packages and additional perks that come along with it.

A congressional investigation into diversity hiring practices would be beneficial too. SCEP positions and the repayment of student loans are now off limits to white male employees.

I would rather support lazy people on welfare, than support people who hold government jobs that we do not need. A welfare check sent to a lazy person, is much smaller than a salary paid to a government worker. If we fired those $150,000 workers, and put them on welfare, we could save a lot of money. Most government workers do nothing useful, and the country would be better off without them.

“Federal workers’ pay skyrockets”

Obama debt panel better look into this as well.

What goes up had better come down. Salaries need to be reset to 2004 levels. That will save a lot of money. And if the bureaucrats don’t like it, they can quit. Why isn’t the GOP in Congress calling out the administration on stuff like this in the same way Christie is calling out school boards who have raised administrative salaries?

What's the word for "Far more furious than words can express"?

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.
