“True conservatives” huh?

Nice.

This is not a “conservative” issue. Conservatives don’t vote for Obama. Period. The issue is whether they vote for McCain. Some did and some didn’t.

Bush isn’t a conservative he is a Republican. A former head of the Republican party. In a way he still is in a leadership position since McCain lost and there was no Republican Majority leader. Boehner may now take that spot until a 2012 nominee is selected though.

If you buy into the party structure you are obligated to support its nominees. That means Bush is obligated in private and public to support McCain. In practice the establishment Republicans undercut other Republican nominees all the time. McCain undercut Bush. It’s why I like to throw it back in their face when they don’t support our conservatives who win primaries. They spend years preaching e have to be mature and support the “R” but they do the exact opposite.

A blog post on the website of the Financial Times claimed Tuesday...

Ohhhhhhhh.....a blog post.

Well, you certainly can't get any more credible than that.

Well, if it's on the interwebs, you know that it must be true.

The comment about Palin that was attributed to Bush was blown out of the water by Bush. So now they’re trying something new. The left never learns. They just keep lying.

Hmmmm...

Gullible freepers who immediately believed the Jayson-Blair-model-rocket-engines-on-a-Ford’s-gas-tank media when they reported that Bush hates Palin and mocks should read this story.

Careful, you'll get branded as not a "True Conservative" by rabs.

I already have been..........repeatedly. :)

But the facts don't lie. I am far more conservative than he is, and not aligned with the left on anything, as he is. My guess is that he thinks this dopey story from Politico has merit, and that's why he posted it. (Aligning with leftists once again, as all "True Conservatives" do with regularity).

Just a guess, though......

Politico is a gossip site, and not even a good one.

” Bush is reported to have said. “But I’d have endorsed Obama if they’d asked me.””

Meth does terrible things to the brain.
Is there anyone with a funtioning mind that would believe this is accurate?

I guess I don't know if I'm a true conservative, but I supported McCain under protest. He made Dole look like a great candidate.

I also voted for him.

If Republicans take just one thing away from 11-2, make it that we need to nominate a conservative in 2012.
