I seem to recall a graph somewhere that superimposed solar cycles, periods of glaciation, and increase of volcanic activity, and the decreasing solar activity and increasing volcanic activity immediately preceded the end of an interglacial period.

I've seen some morons claiming that global warming is causing the "premature onset of the next ice age," ignoring the fact that the current interglacial is the longest and coolest of the most recent 5 interglacials.
