I got one in the shoulder by Bobby Dall, an ornery young pr!@k, in 6th grade. No slanderous worries tho; he died young under nefarious terms in prison.

I used to take bb guns and pocket knives to school, too, but then, back in the day everybody did.
When did the world become so wimbly wumbly?

How old does the constitution say you have to be to have 2nd Amendment rights?

I don’t blame her, either. She could enroll him in martial arts, but that takes years to master.

Easily one of the top 10 movie scenes of all time. 30 years ago, my dear old Mom had a parent-teacher conference that went just about like this one.

Must be oung is correct! Things were handled a bit different in the old days.....and better. ‘Personal responsibility’ is lost on the children now a days stylin.

I feel sorry for that kid,,,
Hopefully some guy will teach him to fight,,,
Hand to hand combat only takes a few months,,,
A good chop in the windpipe or a thumb in the eye goes a
long way toward ending a fight...

Thank you for reminding me of that scene. It was John Candy at his best.

The bullying ceased.
Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

While boxing/martial arts training are excellent to handle bullying, it is most likely the case that this mother could not afford the costs of that type of training. IIRC my kid’s karate classes at a medium level studio ran $100+/mo, and that was more than 10 years ago.

No kidding (I’m SERIES), but when I was 5, Santa Claus brought my brother and I boxing gloves for Christmas. You can only imagine how thrilled “Mrs. Claus” was with that... every squabble involved putting on the gloves, and we couldn’t tie the laces up on the gloves ourselves.
