Tim Profitt, the former Rand Paul volunteer who stepped on the head of a MoveOn.org-affiliated activist outside of a debate on Monday, said he thinks the woman, Lauren Valle, owes him an apology.
"I don't think it's that big of a deal," Profitt said of the incident in an interview with CBS affiliate WKYT. "I would like for her to apologize to me to be honest with you."
Profitt, a Rand Paul supporter who used to serve as a campaign coordinator for the Kentucky Senate hopeful's campaign, was caught on video on Monday stepping on Valle's head after she had been wrestled to the ground. Valle had been trying to offer a satiric award to the candidate.
Profitt later said he was sorry "that it came to that," but he argued to WKYT that Valle was not an innocent bystander. [...]

Any man who would do that is a ********. Police officers don’t even do that.
Agreed. I’m encouraged that most FReepers get that this was wrong, but still troubled that some twisted souls seem to revel in it.
Okay, “I’m sorry. I thought I was stepping on a hemroid.”
Agreed.
It doesn't matter whether or not you actually harmed this stupid woman (you didn't), it matters that you were too dumb in your haste to anticipate the implications of your rash and foolish act.
Now that is funny. At least, they're cunning enough to do it off camera most of the time.
Let’s not get carried away. Obviously this guy has problems, and hopefully he’ll learn a harsh legal lesson as an incentive to deal with them.
However, this was not Paul’s doing. Hopefully, enough voters will realize that this was the doing of a volunteer with issues, and not the campaign itself.
Profitt sure as hell owes Rand an apology though. He hasn’t helped one bit.
This is the best election year ever.
Tuesday night;
..... popcorn and smores
Mom always told me...two wrongs don’t make a right.
What Profitt did was wrong and he makes it worse by wishing an apology for himself.

He should have been wearing lumberjack hobnail boots!
He should take her to small claims court to sue to get a new pair of shoes.. once ya step on a pile of doody, they’re never the same..
She was charging Rand Paul with unknown objects in her hand. She is lucky someone didn’t empty a mag in her worthless butt.
You don't get out much, do you. Cops do this all the time.
Breitbart.tv has a video at this link (http://www.breitbart.tv/video-proof-left-wing-activist-lied-about-events-leading-up-to-incident-at-rand-rally/)
which some claim shows that the victim distorted what happened. I don’t think either side should assault protesters and it’s as wrong if our side does it as it is if the Dem side does it. But so far I am not sure what happened because some people look at that video and say that it looked like an assassination attempt and that she was subdued out of fear for Paul.
Let the “activist” try the same stunt on Obama and see how the secret service reacts. I’m guessing a little more than a love tap on the head.
A truly professional security detail would have done just that. And it would have been perfectly legally justifiable.
The man did wrong.
After watching the video, I would have decked him.
I have no doubt it was premeditated. We have to be careful going forward, this is going to happen more and more. Agitators are going to come into our meetings trying to provoke a response while their comrades are filming whatever happens. Then a highly edited video goes viral.
This is going to be the way they rebut complaints about their own thuggery; provoke a response and then use it.
We should always have our own video-cams going at any public meeting, so that a complete record exists in our hands of whatever happened. And we should always be aware that they are trying to get us to do or say something they can use. The guy with the foot didn't hurt her, and didn't step on her head either for that matter. But you can see how they use what happened to their advantage.
