Drug ‘War Next Door’ Linked Directly to U.S.

A distinguishing feature of the Mexican drug war is the unspeakable violence played out daily on the streets and posted in graphic detail by newspapers and media websites. Large-scale gun battles, mass executions, corpses strewn in public, beheadings, torture and grenade attacks have become commonplace. As of this writing, at least a dozen Mexican mayors have been killed in 2010 alone. A gubernatorial candidate was shot dead on a highway. After a Mexican marine was killed during a raid against a drug kingpin, gunmen massacred the young man's family after his funeral.

"I think they make al-Qaida look tame in terms of what they do. I can't explain how someone loses their humanity and resorts to these things," said Anthony Coulson, a recently retired DEA supervisor.

Securing the border would put a big crimp in the gangs’ cashflow.

I know some of this has already spilled over to the US. What happens when it massively spills over here? Things can get a WHOLE lot worse.

In a way they are right. If Americans stopped buying drugs the war would end.

But then so would the Mexican economy thta counts on that drug money. It has bought and paid for the Mexican Government.

Disgusting, dishonorable, back-stabbing people. We must protect our southern border.

Or we could not make a plant illegal (a plant) and reverse prohibition and that would end the black market it worked with alcohol which is far worse for you then the natural plant. Or maybe we could make a law that out laws murder because words on paper fix everything.

Of course people would have to get educated and find out the truth. Hemp can cure a lot of things even cancer it has over 5,000 uses and use to be the United States biggest crop.

You should watch The Union: The Business of Getting High. You can see it free on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2QZPo89flI, and

RUN FROM THE CURE - The Rick Simpson Story (Part 1 of 7) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjhT9282-Tw

I use to be antidrug until I got educated and did not buy all the lies the government and media were shoving down my throat. If the government can ban a hemp plant then the government can tell you how much corn or wheat or potatoes you can grow. They can then tell you what kind of car to drive and force you to buy health care for yourself and others

I have always thought some ads that tied “casual” users to the consequences (for others) of their actions might be of use. Potential example: footage panning the aftermath of one of those horrendous rampages in Mexico, followed by “If you use illegal drugs, you helped buy the bullets...”

“Two major drug cartels and local gangs have been engaged in a vicious battle there over turf and smuggling routes”

CLOSE THE DAMN ROUTES!

Many of these are well worn trails, easily followed at night.
Many are across “Wilderness”, “National Park”, and “Reservation” land.
Open up these area to full policing by ICE, DEA, National Guard, etc.
Yes, that means allowing vehicles in, so what, the vehicles will do far less damage than the smugglers.

So, all illicit drugs are just innocuous plants and should be legal?

LSD, Meth, Coke, whatever else fools are ingesting, ALL just “Plants”?

Fine, but if that is to be legal, so is my summarily killing any idiot who causes me harm while under the influence.

Balance in all things.

Do all the damn drugs you like, at home, after filing your last will and testament.
