Well, I'm not sure we'll ever have a world in which someone isn't threatening to blow somebody up. And, in the view of some, every case is a special case and can only be solved by the USA.

Why can't we let somebody try to solve some of the world's problems? Why can't we appoint say, Canada and Japan, and tell them that they can handle the continuing drama of Israel and Palestine? We can send them a note reminding them of Iran's bellicose baloney.

They would never do it. What interest would Japan have in the matter?
