I watched a news segment in an earlier thread and the people interviewed essentially seemed to think it was his own fault. The US has posted advisories about certain places and the lake was one of them.

Never mind protect American citizens ... just warn them they'll be killed if we 'get too close' to "them".

This is the same psychology that has America spooked about shooting the invaders from islam.
