Nearly 15 hundred county workers are being encouraged to take some extra time off around the holidays....at their expense.
County Executive Chris Coons is asking employees to take voluntary days off on Christmas Eve, the day after Christmas, and the day after New Year's.
Coons says while the county isn't "saving" money exactly, it won't be spending the estimated 70 grand it would otherwise, if for instance, workers were given a full day off instead of a half day for Christmas Eve as they have in the past.
Just showboating.
If Coons is elected we will all be forced to masturbate.
I don’t have a problem with that, although I’d take it the other direction. I would tell government employees (including school employees) that they aren’t allowed to take paid holidays for Thanksgiving and Christmas because it violates the alleged wall of separation of church and state.
Then I can watch the courts play Grinch or expose their hypocrisy on the whole church/state issue.
See how it plays with Dem voters though.
“If I stopped you half-a-crown, you’d think yourself ill-used.”
Sounds like Obama's economic policy.
