Cornyn Doesn't Sugarcoat O'Donnell (Bret Baier said NSRC WILL NOT support O’Donnell)
CNN ^ | Tuesday, September 14, 2010 | Dana Bash

12:19 p.m. ET – I just ran into NRSC head John Cornyn coming off the elevator. Most Washington Republicans will tell you on background they think the Delaware Senate pick up is gone for them if Christine O'Donnell wins the GOP primary, but they are reluctant to say so on the record.

Cornyn came pretty close.

He said that not only does he have doubts about whether O'Donnell can win in Delaware, but he also admitted that race is the "lynchpin" to any chance of Senate Republicans taking back the majority.

SNIP

I then asked If O'Donnell wins, are you going to pull your money out of there?

"I think we'll have to have a little powwow," said Cornyn, laughing, as he walked away.

“the GOP leadership”

Two mutually exclusive words!

Now that she won fairly, what in hell is the upside for Cornyn saying and doing this. Hateful Spite seems the only plausible explaination. Now that she has won fair and square what on earth posses the NRSA. Well, they won’t be getting any more of my money. This statement at the exact moment she is giving her victory speech is nothing short of chickenshit.

This is War !

John Cornyn is a self serving RINO pig who needs to go back to Texas. Destroy him personally ! Destroy his familly ! Or they will do they same to us !

Yeah, that has worked well before, as stated above:
Chafee is our best chance!
Specter is our best chance!
Scuzzyfava is our best chance!
Crist is our best chance!
Murkowski is our best chance!
Castle is our best chance!

As for the “nominating the most conservative candidate that CAN actually win”, I think O'Donnell is STILL the choice, since Castle has proven he is not conservative.
Don't forget, that's how they sold us on McCain in 2008, too.
These people are Democrat collaborators.
They know the only way Democrats win is when Republicans run RINOs against them.
Now the Republican Party Establishment Rockefeller RINOs are trying to destroy O'Donnell, the party's own nominee, because if O'Donnell does as well as their "best chance" RINOs, or heaven forbid, better, then their lie is exposed for all to see, and they lose the last shred of power they had.

They must prevent that at all costs.
That is why they have been, and will continue to try to destroy candidates like O'Donnell, Rubio, Toomey, Angle, Rand Paul, Buck, Lee, Miller, DeVore, and Lamontagne.

Well, I came to the defense of my Senator in the Alaska deal because of his prior conservative credentials. After tonite’s fiasco the @$$h0le just gave me the chariso. I sent the $0B an email telling him what I think but my opinion doesn’t mean squat. Time for Palin, DeMint, Rush and all those with influence/power, etc. to go ballistic on him and the rest of the NRSC. Would you like me to tell you how I really feel?

I just went onto the National Republican Senatorial Committee facebook page to let them know of my displeasure and they deleted my posts as soon as I made them.

Where is a MAN like Phil Gramm when we need him? BTW, I think Phil Gramm was an a-hole. We need more a-holes getting in people’s faces and punching back hard.

I agree with everything except, we can’t always win a liberal state with a conservative candidate. If we could, we’d have 100 conservative republican senators.

I love outsiders, love conservatives, and don’t like esablishment republicans.

Delaware may be a state too far, I hope not.

“But didn’t “everyone” know that she had zero chance of winning the primary just a few weeks ago?”

Just last night she was hands down loser. WTH happened?

I have been willing to bend over backwards to give the benefit of the doubt to Cornyn that he was the “real thing” on issues, that he was a Conservative where the rubber meets the road.

If THIS proves true, then Cornyn is as much a problem as Grahamnesty — he’s just disguised better. Next time around it will be HIS turn to be REPLACED. The TEA Party needs to start getting candidates LINED up — and HE needs to KNOW IT.

BS.

If taking back the Senate is now such a major priority, where were they when FRanken was stealing votes?

Anyone who does not know that it will take about 4-5 election cycles to get rid of all the RINOS is mistaken

Absolutely correct. It will be a slog—and in a lot of cases you are talking about three steps minimum, wherein the dreaded D gets elected after the RINO is overthrown. But this MUST be done so as to establish a true alternative political party to the D’s.

Send your money to Joe Miller or Pat Toomey. Or Sharron Angle, who can actually win! Don’t waste it on O’Donnell, she’ll be using it to pay her rent — one of the many reasons she’s unelectable.

People don’t seem to understand what a terrible candidate she is. Yes, she says conservative things you like to hear, that doesn’t mean she’s worth a dime of your money.
