Why do these types of threads always wind up with some people telling the rest of us how smart they are and how they do things?

Sharing information/knowledge is not a bad thing if one is willing to learn, and I'll accept there are many smarter people than me...since I have a reasonably thick skin, I can ignore attitude.

If you don't listen to how others do things, chances are, you might get into a rut and never learn something new.

Maybe how someone else does something is not better than how you do it, but sometimes it's nice to compare...lets you make sure you're doing it as well as you can.
