The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
GWB's media handlers should have let the Fox News crew interview him and put together an hong-long show about the Warrior 100k bike ride. Now that would have been much better!
Opps, I almost forgot. Dr. Marc Siegel did interview President Bush on Fox News last week at the bike ride. But I hope that Fox at some point will air some more unseen footage with Bush and the Warrior bike riders.
You’re welcome NordP. Yup, President Bush is real man for devoting his free time to help our brave heroes who fought for this great country.
Yeah it sure was disgraceful, but really not surprising. .
Kudos to FOX and their Dr. Siegel (who rode with W100); I thought FOX did a really good job highlighting the event. I also saw a comment by the Dr. regarding his opinion of Bush and it was really quite complimentary regarding Bush’s regard for the troops.
A funny thing .. that same weekend, guess who visited the troops - you got it! Obama and Michelle. How obvious is that ..??
What a mob! Had no idea there were so many participants. Wouldn’t these shots make a great calendar! Only problem would be, which photos to choose. Thank you again, pattyvita. You outdid yourself. This is the real America. I’ll leave the rest unsaid, out of respect for President Bush and our incredible warriors.
Thank you for the ping, pattvita. It was very tough listening to all the phonies beforehand, even fast forwarding thru them. Great interview with President Bush.
Fox News is the best, hands down. They have been supportive of President Bush and the military for years. Their liberal media rivals are increasingly becoming irrevelant and they’ve made no secret of carrying the water for Obama.
What a shock...the Obamas visiting the troops in Georgia at the same time GW was having his Warrior bike ride. They have no shame, using the military as campaign prop!
You’re very welcome GoldwaterChick. Yeah, I was exhausted by the time I finished posting the pictures last week. Please feel free to use them in any way you wish, all of the photos are fantastic!
The way Piers Morgan edited President Bush’s interview segment down to five minutes didn’t do it justice. It should have been longer than that.
So if you missed it last night, here it is!
I watched the clip and the interview last night. It was good
What would we do without this bit of sanity in our lives?
Oh...THANK you, patty! I just missed this by moments last night, and am so thankful you posted it here!
((((( pattyvita )))))!! Thank you for posting this....I was on the phone during Hannity’s show and began to watch the repeat at midnight and turned out the TV was watching me...lol. Thanks again for this and for all the wonderful posts you share with the rest of us!
You’re very welcome Ohio. Glad you enjoyed President Bush’s interview on Hannity. Always glad to help!
My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed the video of President Bush’s interview on Hannity.
Saw it, and it was wonderful! -—Thanks for posting this for everyone else though! You are always so thoughtful, pv!
(There's a lot of that going on these days! :)
I think the mother with her 3 year old son (who will be stigmatized his entire life by the ridiculous photo on the cover of Time)has already lost hers. She’s probably crying because she forgot to wear her bikini for the occasion. I don’t have any respect for the photographer who took the photo nor anyone else involved in this cheap publicity stunt. Guess it’s the only way Time could figure out to get people to buy it at least once.
