(Huff Po)- In a rousing address before a predominantly Muslim audience Tuesday night, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg reaffirmed his commitment to the controversial Islamic cultural center near the former site of the World Trade Center.
Bloomberg, who hosted the annual Ramadan Iftar dinner at his official Gracie Mansion residence, did not back away from his position as the most vocal and public defender of the so-called “Ground Zero mosque.” If anything, he couched his defense of the project in even deeper moral and political terms, calling the Cordoba House a telling illustration of intrinsic American principles and a valuable tool in the war on terror.

But if we say that a mosque and community center should not be built near the perimeter of the World Trade Center site, we would compromise our commitment to fighting terror with freedom.

Bloomberg has closed his corp here and in the UK. He’s thrown in his lot with Sharia Banking and now a contributor to their “Sharia Charities” aka Zakat. They take a percentage and pool it for Allah aka jihad in many cases. It’s the in thing for the scum on wall street.
And still Ground Zero is a hole in the ground. And no one lifts a finger to help St. Nicholas Church rebuild.

Bloomberg is a Judas goat. I expect him to have the Iranian nut job at the ground breaking. Where is the ACLU protesting this promotion of a religion by government.

Those who believe in dignity for hallowed ground should be proud to be considered “un-American” by Bloomberg, Obama, and others who are pushing a new world order in which America would no longer stand for freedom. I’m not American by their standards. I’m American by the standards of Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Adams, Lincoln and those who believed in a land of opportunity with limited government rather than a land of entitlement with limited freedoms.
When they say stuff like this, when they hold illogical positions, when they erect one strawman after the other and ignore reason, the only answer is they are on the take. We’re not just faced with terrorists, they are buying off chunks of our political system. Soviets did the exact same thing.
Bloomberg is really really invested in this project, isn’t he? Probably, literally financially invested, as well.
Anything other than hating America and supporting whatever is against American interests and power, is now “un-American”. The language is truly Orwellian.
