SAN DIEGO – For the first time in memory, California Republicans have a diverse statewide slate of candidates to field this fall, a lineup their state party chairman calls "an inspirational ticket." Coupled with national momentum for conservatives, the California GOP is hoping this might be their breakthrough year.

Yet it's far from clear whether voters in California, where Democrats have a nearly 15-point voter registration advantage, will see the same glitter the GOP faithful perceive.

In these topsy turvy days of Recovery Summer .. Ya never know who will harvest more votes.

Just as in 2003, the CA GoP and conservatives and indies have a shot at 'winning' big. The motivation isn't quite as intense nor the crisis as far-reaching is open to debate.

Certainly a new element we know as the TEA Party has shown its power is in connecting thru a headless sensical movement and added even more intrigue as November looms.

It would be a shame to see the CA GoP getting too much credit here for work it has not proven able to perform or even interested in, like representing taxpayers and parents when they needed it most and not going green and gutting the state of jobs..

Yet when the LSM talks about the GOP advantage in the national general ballot polls they keep telling us "politics is local, blah, blah, blah..."

You can't have it both ways, yet they try.

Prepare for a bloodbath, in areas that were asumed RAT's nests.

Nehring: "The Democrats are going to have to spend a lot of money turning voters out that we don't have to spend
because we know from research that our voters are fired up."

LOL
