Blagojevich: Will call Emanuel, Reid, Menendez in retrial

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich said Sunday that he would call a host of high-profile witnesses -- including White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel -- to testify if he is retried on corruption charges.

Blagojevich, in a combative interview on "Fox News Sunday," said he was ready for a second trial on charges that he tried to sell President Barack Obama's former Senate seat. Federal prosecutors have vowed to retry Blagojevich after a jury deadlocked on all but one of 24 criminal counts the government brought against the fiery Democrat.

he system is truly broken if this guy is not convicted.

Its the Feds own fault. - They are carrying Obama’s water on this one by refusing to allow his subpoenas to be issued.

He DOES have the right to that defense even if he is guilty as sin, which I'm quite sure that he is.

Well, if he does, I hope he has the security to live at least that long. Please hire a food taster, Blago, and take your vitamins & vaccines.

If all involved are not....

Including the part of the Chicago mob that currently rules our country. Remember Hillary and Illonois are tied as well.

Obama will abuse his power again and get Rahm out of it, if too much MSM heat happens <-——NOT! Then Rahm will go under the bus.

My prediction, no retrial period. They convict him, he’s going to sing like a canary. It’s all smoke and mirrors. My guess is that ONE juror was probably bought and paid for by O and Rambo.

What good is it to call a bunch of LIARS (Rahm, Reid, Menendez) to testify?

Does anyone think those greasy crooks are going to tell an ounce of truth? At best, we get to watch them squirm.

I think the truth will come out anyway. If he’s retried, he squeals. If not, he’s got to go public before he’s Vince Fostered.

“The system is truly broken if this guy is not convicted.”

I’d like to think that was so but the fact that they are trying a man twice for the same offenses simply cause they don’t like the way the jury ruled is proof positive that the system that protects our rights is broken.

The man was tried once and found innocent of all but 1 charge, by the laws of this land he can’t be tried again simply cause the judge don’t like the juries verdict.

That's not true. The jury didn't reach a verdict at all. Hence why there is a retrial.

Let me amend that avoid confusion - they found him guilty on one charge, but reached no verdicts at all on the other counts. They are not retrying him because they didn’t like the jury’s decision - the jury did not make a decision on those counts.
