Relatively few people in the United States know of the horrible tragedies that are now being visited upon the people of Mexico by a war between drug cartels, and the government of Mexico.The US media does not report the full story, and the Government of Mexico has a press black out on much of what is happening in Mexico concerning the war between the Mexican Government, and the drug cartels who war among themselves.
To complicate matters the drug gangs often wear federal uniforms while performing assaults on their victims.
One anonymous web site operates a blog which receives posts, photographs, and videos of some of the horrors being comitted.
The person operating the site has literally blown the lid off of the press black out in Mexico, and the press non coverage in America.He is a computer security expert who exercises all of his skill to stay anonymous.It is an heroic effort. He works at the risk of his own life to get the news out to the world.
Americans should no longer remain ignorant of what is happening in Mexico, which in some areas is in the throes of a civil war.It is not much wonder that Texas Governor Rick Perry and Arizona Gvernor Jan Brewer have asked for federal support to secure the Southern border. The violence you see on this site spills over into the United States. The US federal government follows the policy that it is"business as usual", when in fact it is far from it.
Why?
The US public would become further resistant to all questions of illegal alien amnesty, once this knowledge is disseminated about what is being imported into our nation along with those who come to the US illegally from Mexico. They bring with them the cycle of violence , revenge and death, as well as gang members who fight each other incessantly.
So I draw the attention of Free Republic Members to this site, and caution that it is not for the weak of heart or those with weak stomachs.The site graphicaly portrays raw, unedited photos and videos of gun battle results, torture and execution.The site serves as a record of what is actually happening in Mexico.
If one wishes, the url page references can be entered into whatever web based translator one wishes, to have each page's text rendered into English.
May this site be of benefit to those who wish to do research into the terrible things that happen South of our border, and may the US public learn the truth.
In this way this knowledge may aid us so we may eventually secure our Southern border, and then perhaps we as a nation can be of assistance to bring this tragedy in Mexico to an end.Such violence must not be allowed to be imported into the United States.

Yes it is a real crisis on the birder. we have the resources to solve it. Obama wants the crisis , why and what will he do to shape it to his ends?
The social forces at play you can see on the el Blog del Narco site. It should hit home that anything Obama has planned will be terrible for America.Why is he allowing drug cartels free access to federal land reserves 80 miles south of Phoenix, where American citizens are kept out?Why has he stopped Arizona from interdicting the flow of ordnance and drugs into that area?There are large swaths of land , 2 miles into the US from the border where local Sherrifs in Texas, Arizona and New Mexico cannot go, because of sniper fire. Why is this allowed?Why are they keeping LEOs out, what is going in in these areas that require the drug cartels to keep the law away?
These are all unanswered questions. Whatever is going on is not beng shared with the public.And all I can point to are the activities of Texas Governor Rick Perry and Arizona’s Jan Brewer who know that something very bad for America and their respective states is happening or is about to happen.
I suppose we can wait and see, meanwhile any information you might have in the future would be appreciated. You are right,something will be happening on the border.Obama doesn’t want federal troops there, and he doesn’t want anyone interfering with the heavily armed drug cartels as they use the Arizona corridor into federal lands.He has staked all his political capital on this. Dude. This is our problem. It’s here. I could almost agree with you if we were talking the Stan or even Colombia. But this is in our back yard, and it’s in the house.
And imagine if the terrorist cells ‘wake up” here in the States when the next major war in the Mid East gets into high gear. There will be a lot of cooperation between the narco terrorists and the middle eastern terrorists. Chaos.

I thought I was rather clear. The US is the biggest market for this crap. Legalize it here, and the profits will drain away. Especially since once it is legal here, and you don't have our corrupt institutions threatening other countries, it will become legal in more places, thus also reducing the profits. Unfortunately, the criminal enterprises, like the drug cartels and our government enjoy the status quo.
Its unfortunate that so many people in this country have been so completely brainwashed by government propaganda for so long that they don't see the incrementalism practiced every day that has been used to destroy our liberties wholesale.
The reality is — no stoners are being thrown in jail and forced to go cold turkey for a few years, and drug traffickers are not being put up against a wall and shot.

These gangsters, the Mexican Cartels, have an infrastructure that they will go to great lengths to maintain. A black market to get around the regulations and taxation that our Federal government will levee against addictive drugs, just like they do tobacco, will result in a raging black market.

My sister has been a drug addict for years but I never forget that is all started with marijuana. Now she has destoyed her relationship with her parents, her son, her husbands, and now her liver is failing. She is on interferon with a 50/50 chance of saving her life. And YOU the taxpayer is paying for ALL of her treatment.
Meantime she has a nerve disorder, fibromyalgia, that requires her to be on slow release morphine all day long. It makes her nauseous, so she smokes marijuana for relief. Her doctor has said that medication derived from marijuana can work as well but sis wants to use the marijuana for the high. Maybe she isn’t happy with the situation, but she is content to be stoned all the time.
To me it sounds hellish and I feel very sorry for her plight. I know it isn’t what she envisioned when she used marijuana for the first time at age thirteen.

If you had hit the vid link, for some reason that doesn’t work as it did in the beginning, the site now will not allow direct access to to its video index. The photos and videos are indeed barbaric, they show exactly the culture that illegal aliens are transplanting to America. Its essentially fascist, and in that , they have a commmon tie with Obama’s personal ideology ( which is set out in post #77 this thread in an article by Kylie Shiver.)

Agreed in spades. The idea that the problems associated with drugs will dissappear through legalization is just so much leftist clap trap. Its a way to demotivate and sedate a productive society away from the very things that make for a successful society , which is fully informed and educated, energized, productive and democratic.
Being stoned every time you feel bad simply is a form of anaethesia, a cop out, and exit from shared reality, premature death of ones enegagement with the world, the futile attempt at the creation of a heaven realm before you die.
Drugs are medicine. Plain and simple.They can be used for healing if used properly, not for mere recreation.It is appropriate that their use is regulated for the greater good of society as a whole, What happened in china in the 1700-1800s, the complete destruction of a fully functioning society BY OPIUM is one of the great crimes of the West perpetrated on the East. MILITARIZE the Border patrol along the lines of the COast Guard and put them under the department of defense. Build bases to house and support them (funding would be easier if we close our bases in Europe). ARM them with eveything they need.
BUILD the damn fence (electrifying it might not be such a bad damn idea either). Bomb the tunnels.
Employers who hire illegals need to pay serious- and I MEAN serious- fines and serve jail time. This goes for property owners who RENT to them, as well.
NO MORE “anchor babies”, no more “chain immigration”
NO MORE tax funded benefits- no medical, no welfare, no food stamps, NO PUBLIC EDUCATION.
I am sick to DEATH of hearing about how they are “law-abiding” and “hard workers” and all the rest of that crap. They are breaking our laws by BEING here. My husband is a cop in the Atlanta area and I hear, every day, about this crap going on. I know I’m not alone in saying I am SO over it...
