WASHINGTON– State Department officials on Monday confirmed Feisal Abdul Rauf, the Imam of the so-called Ground Zero Mosque, will soon be going on a trip of the Middle East and the U.S. government will be picking up the tab.
The planned construction of a mosque near Ground Zero in New York City has set off a contentious national debate over religious freedom in the U.S., drawing impassioned opposition from some families of 9/11 victims.
Rauf has emerged as a controversial figure because of his refusal to acknowledge Hamas as a terrorist organization, which is how the U.S. government classifies the group. The imam also has been quoted as saying U.S. foreign policy was in part responsible for the 9/11 attacks.
“He is a distinguished Muslim cleric,” said State Department Spokesman P.J. Crowley. “We do have a program whereby, through our Educational and Cultural Affairs Bureau here at the State Department, we send people from Muslim communities here in this country around the world to help people overseas understand our society and the role of religion within our society.”
(Isn't that nice? THe U.S. now acts as a taxi cab and picks up the bill to shuttle our enemy around at their beck and call!

One small caveat, though; they should put a statue out front of Mayor Bloomberg on his knees kissing Rauf’s exposed and naked butt as the latter cheers an airliner flying into a mock-up of the World Trade Center.
On the statue’s base, there should be a list of every single person who died there that day - except, of course, the ghouls who who commandeered the airplanes. Their names could be inscribed on a nearby fire hydrant, to accommodate all the dogs that walk by.

Also include a bust of Daniel Pearl in TWO pieces because he was beheaded because he was a JEW. Let Bloomburg lap that up too.
The crude insensitivity of these people is astounding. Talk about something that will turn the country against Muslims, this is it.

Samar Ali is an Associate with the firm Hogan Lovells US LLP. She is responsible for counseling clients on mergers & acquisitions, cross-border transactions, Shari’a compliant transactions, project finance, and international business matters.
Left out of the press release is that she also previously worked as an intern and received training at the Islamic International Arab Bank; according to her staff bio at the Hogan Lovells law firm,
Samar’s experience includes advising a Middle Eastern university in the potential establishment of a Foreign Aid Conventional and Shari’ah Compliant Student Loan Program. … Before joining Hogan & Hartson, Samar worked as a summer associate for the firm and as a legal intern for the Islamic International Arab Bank.

Oklahoma lawmakers are supporting an amendment to the Oklahoma Constitution that would prohibit state courts from relying upon Sharia (Islamic law) or international law in deciding cases.
House Joint Resolution 1056 would place the issue before Oklahoma voters in November. This resolution, nicknamed “Save Our State,” has been proposed because of a rising concern with courts citing non-American sources as legal authority. Sharia, in particular, poses a threat to traditional American values. Honor killings and similar crimes are seeping into our nation, with justification under traditional Islamic law an increasingly common concern..

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said in a recent interview that his “foremost” mission as the head of America’s space exploration
agency is to improve relations with the Muslim world.
Though international diplomacy would seem well outside NASA’s orbit, Bolden said in an interview with Al Jazeera that strengthening those ties was among the top tasks President Obama assigned him. He said better interaction with the Muslim world would ultimately advance space travel.

WHY would we send a MUSLIM voer there for this? Thay already KNOW what Islam is about and how Sharia LAW interats with society. This is a farce. What other countries do NEED is Christiantiy.
