That is something we sure don't hear everyday but I bet every Conservative here on Free Republic wishes our Federal government understood the meaning of TANSTAFL.
Now more than ever it is critically important for Conservatives to have Free Republic as our online resource where we can discuss the real news, not the news as the current administration's public relations spin machine is spewing it.
We need Free Republic because it's the premiere Conservative online site where Conservatives can discuss, defend and make cogent arguments about all Conservative issues.
Free Republic is a site where Conservatives give voice to opinions in often heated discussions.
Free Republic also serves as a rallying point where Conservatives can align with other Conservatives and get involved in making our strongly held opinions heard above the fray of leftist bleating.
Conservatives on Free Republic become involved and remain involved in grassroots activism, all while making the steps necessary to return our country to its Conservative principles and standards.

Free Republic is currently delivering over 1.2 million pageviews to over 230,000 visitors per day. That's 40 million pageviews to 7 million visitors per month or 120 million pageviews per quarter, 480 million pageviews per year.
We currently have over 350,000 registered screen names on FR. Out of these millions of visits, hundreds of millions of pageviews, hundreds of thousands of registered FReepers and hundreds of thousands of regular lurkers only a relatively FEW actually donate the funds to keep FR alive.
Now, I'm not complaining, because we've always managed to meet our fundraising goals in the past, but it is taking longer and longer to accomplish the task.
And part of that may be because it's mostly the same few dedicated FReepers providing the funds, and, along with the rest of us, I'm sure they're stretched to the limit.
Sure would be nice if a few more FReepers and lurkers would lend a hand and send in a few bucks. Doesn't take much. I think our average donation is around $20, but you can send in $5, $10, $20, $30 or more, and make it a monthly contribution if you can.
A relatively few good FReepers is all it takes to keep FR on the air so that hundreds of thousands of us can join together in kicking liberal butt and continue the fight for our freedom!!
For example, 1,500 dedicated FReepers and lurkers donating an average of $20 each per month is all it takes to continue delivering these hundreds of millions of propaganda-fighting, pro-liberty pages to tens of millions of readers every year.
How many concerned citizens and potential voters can we reach for a tiny fraction of a cent per page? FR delivers a BIG bang for the buck!!

God love her. She’s still a beauty of course, but I’ll never forget her first baby pic and her eyes! I can see her big blues in the little pic, but nothing like that first photo!
Now she's and picking up her head and ready to star crawling.Seems like just yesterday her mother was born. That's why we need to keep fighting to hand to our children our country better than it is now.

You’re right. We fight for them. I have two of mine here with me; ages 10 1/2 (recall when half years really mattered?) and almost 15 (both girls). They watch Glenn Beck. They “get it.” They don’t want to study hard only to become employees of the state.

Empty nest here and grandparents of two sweet little girls. Ours are 27, 26 and 21. And all on their own. I’m very proud of them.
Same here. Empty and long gone and far away. Grand Cayman Island and No. & So. CA. Total of 9 grandchildren from ages 3 years to almost 20. Four adult (age) children...lol.
