Graham: Tea party will 'die out' (Lindsey)

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) says in a forthcoming article that the tea party movement is “unsustainable” and will “die out” because it lacks vision.

Graham made the comments to The New York Times as part of a profile in Sunday’s magazine written by Robert Draper.

Graham argues throughout the story that the Republican Party will eventually move away from the fringe and join him closer to the political middle but that, for now, it has shifted too far to the right.

“Everything I’m doing now in terms of talking about climate, talking about immigration, talking about Gitmo is completely opposite of where the tea party movement’s at,” Graham says. “The problem with the tea party, I think, is it’s just unsustainable because they can never come up with a coherent vision for governing the country. It will die out.”

Political 'moderates' like Senator Lindsey Graham are what's keeping Republicans out of power. McCain's loss in 2008 should prove once and for all that being a half-baked Democrat masquerading as a 'Republican' while adopting leftist positions and abandoning constitutional principles fools no one and especially Democrats and Independents.

Graham's snarky comment that Ronald Reagan couldn't be nominated as a Republican candidate today is simply absurd. Reagan had to climb over Democrat-wannabes like Lindsey Graham as he fought them for the 1980 GOP nomination. They used to be called 'Rockefeller Republicans' then. Now, they're just traitors, grinning and shaking hands with the enemy - hard-core leftists like Obama - that are trying very hard to destroy the foundations of America and pull it down to rubble.

If the Tea Party is so irrelevant and temporary, why does Sarah Palin not only draw huge crowds wherever she speaks but her endorsement helps elect conservative Republicans? O.K. I hope that doesn't prove true with McCain. Still, Graham is just denying the obvious: that Americans are rightly alarmed by the direction Obama is taking our country (socialism) and standing up to the challenge that RINOs like Senator Graham are aiding. I believe that Senator Graham is on the wrong side of history.

"Miss Lindsey should join the democrat party as soon as possible." Which, I fear, will happen about 15 minutes after the Nov. election....thereby giving the Dims back the majority they lose.

“Everything I’m doing now in terms of talking about climate, talking about immigration, talking about Gitmo is completely opposite of where the tea party movement’s at”

Then he's out of touch with the People.

If he doesn't know that most people are on to the Globull warming/climate change/Unicorn Temperature Altering scam, then he believe too much of what is written in the dying Leftist newspapers.

If he doesn't know that over 90% of the people on a lame-stream site are against illegal immigration.

He will definately join the Democratic party before Nov. 2014 when he is up for re-election. He has seen the writing on the wall and knows that conservatives are over him.

Of course it will, the tea party is a reaction to idiot’s like Mr. Graham. When he and is ilk are gone, the people will resume working, running their businesses, raising their kids and other stuff normal people do.

Who can forget the picture of Lindsey Graham sitting with President Obama and saying that Timothy Geithner is the best man for Treasury Secretary - A TAX CHEAT!!!

Graham also voted for Sotomayor and I'll bet he will vote for Elena Kagan.

I hope that the Tea Party throws its support behind Lindsey's opponent! We've got to get rid of RINOs like Graham - AND McCain!

Support J.D. Hayworth!!!!!

“Graham argues throughout the story that the Republican Party will eventually move away from the fringe and join him closer to the political middle but that, for now, it has shifted too far to the right.”

Perception alert: The whole political spectrum lurched violently leftward when the Communists hijacked the Democrat party. The Tea Party people remain where they always were - the background shifted. The Tea Party is the Silent Majority and their children, SILENT NO MORE.

He’s been in DC too long. He needs a one-way ticket OUT.

Lindsey Graham will “die out” first. He thinks people will forget statements like this and he is wrong.

It’s always interesting to me to see how many people (even GOP people) seriously misunderstand the Tea Party movement. No matter how many times we tell them we are NOT AN ORGANIZATION but an event, they always want to know “who your leaders are.” Are they not getting it on purpose?? There’s ignorance. And then there’s downright STUPIDITY.
