I recommend we cut General McChrystal some slack. We haven’t heard from him; only people who could arguably be called his enemies. I think it’s unlikely he said anything unfortunate during an interview with The Rolling Stone or anybody else. He also most likely had the interview tapped and can produce that tape.

CNN reports McChrystal has fired a press aide over the article:

My thoughts exactly. What sober general would spill his guts to Rolling Stone magazine? Something is very strange about this story.
