Last week, with little fanfare, among the ever deteriorating oil spill crisis, the White House quietly noted the issuance of an executive order "Establishing the National Prevention, Health Promotion, and Public Health Council", in which the president, citing the “authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America” is now actively engaging in "lifestyle behavior modification" for American citizens that do not exhibit "healthy behavior." At least initially, the 8 main verticals of focus will include: smoking cessation; proper nutrition; appropriate exercise

The White House pool reported that they left Andrews Air Force Base as it started to rain after 4 p.m.

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood was among the group golfing with Obama.

Now hold on there. Isn't sex necessary for physical and emotional health? Then shouldn't the government help pairing us up for our benefits? The next step is to keep a registry of who our partners have been.

Here's how the new president does it. He, or she, issues an executive order staying all previous executive orders pending review. Then one by one they are examined, judged, and, by executive order, kept, modified, or discarded and there will be nothing anyone, except for the next president, can do about it.

I wish a president could write an executive order outlawing all future executive orders.

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and to improve America’s mental health service delivery system for individuals with serious mental illness and children with serious emotional disturbances....

Mental health care has been a delicate subject
for decades in this country, with many being
too ashamed or humiliated to seek the help they
needed, or worse, suffering negative impact at
their jobs (military or civilian) if they needed
and sought help and counseling. Looks like this
was meant to begin ending that stigma and more
smoothly providing help for those who need it.

I’m certainly not aware of any Big Brother Obama-
Overlord tyranny or intrusion on anyone’s life
from this.
