What a revealing comment. The ‘memories’ were made when the page was read. How, exactly, do these administrators propose to change what the kids remember? But leave it to a high school administrator to suggest something that sounds a lot like brainwashing. It’s almost what the lawyers call ‘an admission against interest’...
I'm torn on this.
On the one hand, I do believe the public schools have generally gotten way too PC.
On the other hand, how would you feel if you were a freshman in this school, opened the year book and saw a comment that said, "I remember Genoa. He was that fat, stinky guy with the pizza face. Man, what a slob. Everyone hated him."
Without knowing what the comment actually was, I'm hard pressed to say whether the school is doing the right thing or not.
