At least Carter had an entertaining brother.
0bama's brothers can't enter the country.

Personally, I think Obama is already worse than Carter.

Carter was a weak leader and made many bad decisions, but he at least tried to lead the country and he did have some small successes - the Egypt-Israel peace treaty, a slight reduction of debt as % of GDP, sending Harold Denton to Three Mile Island. Carter was also a key force behind the deregulation of the airline industry, which led to enormous benefits in the 1980s under President Reagan.

Obama has done none of that. He’s antagonized Israel for no purpose, debt is higher than at anytime in our nation’s history, and he has completely fumbled the BP oil spill. And he’s only halfway through his term. And frankly, I think Obama’s idea of leadership begins and ends with implementing his agenda.

It's much deeper than that. Right about now, Jimmy Carter is cackling with glee over the fact that, as of now, he is guaranteed to not go down in history as the weakest, worst American president ever.

There isn't a name for it that has become part of popular culture.

Doesn't need one. "The BP Oil Spill"--you say it and everyone knows what you're talking about.

"They haven't built a popular new television program around it -- yet"

Not true, CNN 10pm-12pm EST.

Obama keeps popping up in new settings, sounding as if he is in command . . .

David, the Dean of Washington Journalists, going senile? Obama was singing along with "Hey Jude" last night. Friday morning he is campaigning at a truck dealership, meeting with a soccer team, flying down to the gulf for a few hours to talk to somebody or other about the spill I guess, then flying back to D.C. Last weekend he spent partying in Chicago. One venue was across the street from Farrakhan's operation.

Oh..and his wife...in the morning she kicks off a "Chefs Move to Schools" program. She's flying in top chefs from Chicago to advise on revamping school lunches.

I think Jimmy still wins worst, by default, Obama is not even trying to be a president. He’s more like a party animal living in the white house, not a president. At least Jimmy tried (and failed).

It is good to be the King (and Queen). It’s like the Obama’s won the Price is Right and now get to party at the White House for 4 years. Sure hope we all live thru this.

That is putting it kindly. I have heard Democrats use a not so nice analogy. He is fulfilling some ugly stereotypes with his lavish lifestyle I have not heard mentioned in decades.

Barack Obama has not yet moved into the category of the late-night patsy that Jimmy Carter became...on the other hand Carter was never stupid enough to grandstand in front the nation insisting he was certainly in charge of all that was going on and would take care of everything for the country when in fact there's virtually nothing he can do about the situation - he'll hit that category soon....

He is talking about a tipping point. He is not there yet because of his skin tone and because most Americans are idiot sheep who watch TV and are brainwashed by TV including Fox/Saudia.

Most Americans will glady trade liberty and freedom for cable/sat TV and ball games.

Would not surprise me in the least. One thing I find ironic is Obama's dislike and blatant dissing of the British is coming home to bite him, curtsy of British Petroleum. I'll bet BP ruining his presidency is driving him insane.

The only British thing/person he didn’t have a problem with was Paul McCartney! He sat there and preened and smirked at McCartney’s stinky comments about Pres. Bush! He sang and laughed and carried on because Paul McCartney was fawning all over him (and Michelle!), he didn’t ever, ever make as big a fuss over any other First Lady (or President, Dem. or Repub.) before!
