"How does SK nullify this threat without the US using a tactical nuke?"

The proximity to Seoul is a big problem.

I'm not very well-versed in the effective radius and fallout potential of neutron bombs, but that sounds like a better tool for this job. Fry the Norks and leave their tubes intact...

First of all, the DPRK needs to be told that if a single artillery round or rocket falls on Seoul, all DPRK population centers and "Leader's palaces" (starting with Pyongyang) will cease to exist.

Thank you!

The on-deck "recovery" photo shows the contra-rotating propeller pair quite well, and the second photo clearly shows the opposing pitches (at the upper right)...

I agree completely with your suggested ultimatum. What worries me about that is who is going to deliver it and make sure that we follow through, Obambi, I don’t think so.

The best we can hope for from him would be a deep bow to Kim Jong Il and giving up the Aleutian Islands or something.

The following picture from JoongAng Ilbo shows the full blueprint of the torpedo which hit Cheonan. The torpedo was said to be manufactured with export in mind. Apparently, N. Korea sent the blueprint to potential foreign buyers as a part of 'product brochure.'

The salvaged North Korean propeller and a blueprint showing the actual size of the torpedo were displayed yesterday at South Korea's Defense Ministry in Seoul. By Kim Tae-seong

Not to nitpick, but in the comparison photo above, the shapes of the drive shafts appear to be different. One is tapered and the other is cylindrical. And in the one of the photos above, the news agency put its logo over the drive shaft!

I am not an expert, but maybe blast damage could change the shape a little(or make it look that way by twisting it around.)
As for logo, the news agency do that to all publicized pictures on their website Those are ‘free’ pictures people can download at no cost. I think you have to pay to get original pictures(unmolested by logo stamp.)
