If the economy produces jobs over the next eight months at the same pace as it did over the past four months, the nation will have created more jobs in 2010 alone than it did over the entire eight years of George W. Bushs presidency.
That comparison comes with many footnotes and asterisks. But it shows how the economic debate between the parties could look very different over time perhaps by November, more likely by 2012. ..

That is toooooooo stupid to even address.
He compares Obama to the entire eight years of the Bush Presidency, including the last two when we had a Dem Congress. I’d like to see him compare the first six years of the Bush Presidency when he had a GOP Congress, to Obama’s with a Democrat Congress.
Now that would be a real eye opener
This “job creation” includes the 1 million temps hired for the census?
Let’s subtract them and start again.
I could not stomach to read this lying trash past the initial phony claim. There should be criminal laws against this kind of propaganda. This is not freedom of speech, this is intent to defraud the American public.
I was thinking kind of the same thing. Obviously we had job growth between 2001 and 2007 - and a massive rollback that wiped out the gains. Govt. action since 2006 - all bad IMHO save the surge - has only worsened things. Now that the inevitable market forces start to take hold and the half of Americans that carry the rest plus the illegals are sick and tired of sitting around and doing nothing they want to split hairs on dates and job count ?
This reminds me of former DC Mayor Marion Barry’s claim that “outside of the killings, crime in DC isn’t all that bad.”
"Hiring gained ground in February with employers adding 243,000 jobs, the most in three months. Brighter job prospects sent people streaming into the labor market, however, pushing the unemployment rate up marginally to 4.8 percent."
Still running against Bush I see...what a idiot! This is all OBAMAS FAULT!
Lets subtract them and start again.
We need to subtract all those hundreds of thousands of three - four month jobs (like repaving of roads) that came from the stimulus bill.
“Do they REALLY think we are stupid? “
Well, who is occupying the White House?
Let’s see here. Black is white, if it isn’t seen as black. Up is down. In is out. Up is down. nobama-speak is taking over. Truly, nobama and hi9s minions have immersed us i9n Bizarro world. History will not treat these fools well (unless they write it).
Go ahead and subtract them. The truth will stay right here for FReepers to cry over. The MSM is the enemy now as much as Obama is. I agree with Breitbart on this. The tea partiers need to attack the media after November.
I am having a hard time understanding his reasoning. Each week I read of 450,000 new unemployment claims. Seems to me, more jobs are being lost then created. Things will not get better until more jobs are being created then lost. Am I right in my thinking or is there something I am missing? Anyone?
Now the principal footnote: To compare job growth in 2010 with Bushs record ignores the nearly 4 million jobs lost in Obamas first year, during the freefall that began in Bushs final months. Thats like ignoring a meteor strike. Over time, voters are likely to judge Obama by his degree of success in eliminating that deficit and reducing unemployment.
True enough. But if one is going to play these games, one also needs to remember that Bush inherited a cyclical recession, the dot com collapse, and the accounting scandals -- all of which, on the Sun King theory of the presidency, should be attributed to Bill Clinton, if you believe in Sun King theories. The Bush record on job creation is fine if you excise the inherited Clinton recession of 2001-02.
and all the teacher and local govt jobs “saved” by federal stimulus money that is gone and spent
Up is down, more is less, wet is dry, journalism is balanced.
>>The MSM is the enemy now as much as Obama is. I agree with Breitbart on this. The tea partiers need to attack the media after November<<
I agree with you and Breibart too. I was just on this thread and FReepers get it, whereas the SRM will not tell the truth about this imposter.
Thanks for the link.
The Bush budget is fine too, if you exclude the WOT that he also inherited. Even with that, the deficit was being paid down until, um, what happened in 2007.
